Put it against the interior wall. My garage door button has a temp gauge on it. Its also on the interior wall

Also I have a garage sink on that wall, so im careful to never leave the garage doors open too long.

Because pure water freezes at 32 degrees but add a solute and it does not. ie many frozen items need a temperature less
