Some others as I was given up to 20 free tickets to their game a few weeks ago vs the Thunder. Free tickets from a support group I have been involved with for the last 3 years because they can’t sell tickets so they are giving away upper deck tickets to local charities and groups wanting them to have people use them that will buy concessions. I went to get the tickets at will call, the person who gave me 20, had over 200 tockets listed under her name. Her charity she works for was awarded a $20,000 donation from the suns because she gave away the most tickets to people who actually showed up and used them.

I appreciate pro sports teams wanting to help local charities, but I’ve never heard of them offering a cash donation to the groups who give the most away and people actually show up at will call to get the tickets. My hats off to the suns, but if they left I think other sports teams in the valley would leave and it would be a big loss for the state as how else would local fans be able to ever see their favorite teams play if it weren’t for road games in Phoenix?
