We'll see what actually happens though. I also think that Harper would prefer to be either a Cub or Dodger. The Cubs are already deep into the luxury tax and would either need to make some serious moves or change their philosophy. The Dodgers have a glut of outfielders and after finally getting under the tax threshold, stories emerged about telling investors that they plan to stay there. Plans obviously change and outfielders can easily be moved, so we'll see.
I have a bit of inside info with Harper and have been told that he's not the biggest fan of Philadelphia, but at the end of the day will most likely sign wherever he gets the most money (like most players). So we'll see what kind of offers actually come through.
