On track is a 78 recruiting class and non-P5? hummmm.
On track can only start with P5.
For an example, Nebraska is on track. New aggressive AD, new respected HC, and a Top 25 recruiting class. Nebraska will be back in the CFP picture within two or three years.

TH got BYU “off track” in 2011 when he thought BYU was too good for the BIG12.

I agree firing him now would be a mistake. They should fire him and Tom next year after BYU finishes 4-8
