My mom loves to make Turkey noodle soup after thanksgiving. She learned the recipe from my depression-era grandmother
who would boil the turkey carcass at the end and make a noodle soup with the remaining broth.
Okay, I admit there have been times when it wasn't miserable, and actually good. But, my mom thinks it's amazing every year, and I think it's more the smell of the carcass boiling for hours in the background that gets us when we go visit. We're 50/50 on the soup. Some years it's decent, others, it's less than.
