A Hungarian village is thrown into disarray by the arrival of a couple Jewish men in 1945. Came out this year but filmed in black and white. Looks gorgeous. You can guess the ending pretty early on, but the execution is great and the ending is still powerful. Apparently based on a short story, comes across as something of a fable about guilt and conscience. Saw some comparisons to High Noon and while the actual plot is very different, it does share some elements. Bucks the trend of overlong movies by being only as long as it needs to be — about 90 minutes. Definitely recommend it.
