The Question:
"Are you a fiduciary?"
That simple.
If the answer is yes, then chances are you've got a good one.
If that answer is no, get your money out of there as fast as possible. If they are not fiduciaries then they legally do not have to act in YOUR best interest and in many times act in THIER best interest by putting your investments into products that give them the highest commissions & fees. There is a great chance that what they have you invested in is nothing close to what they have their own money invested in. Also, if the charge an Asset Under Management (AUM) fee, that would be another strike and grounds to get out. Do you really think they spending quality time managing your money?
