"Best of best" is a dead giveaway to an amateur. The lack of objectivity and truly understanding what you're writing about is missing throughout the article.

Sadly, a lot of news organizations have been heading toward the amateur level with their sports departments over the past 3-5 years.

About two years ago, a lot of top notch sportswriters from around the country formed The Athletic. It's subscription based, but the writing and analysis is high quality. Only problem is that BYU feature articles are few and far between, and football and basketball game coverage is non-existent.
