Like he’s never been a smug putz about Utah on twitter before.

Remember last fall when BYU rallied around the Utah athletic program when Lauren McCluskey was murdered? Wearing red, wearing stickers on their helmets, etc.?

What was Dave’s response? He found a single dumb tweet from some no-name BYU fan with a dozen followers. He took a screenshot, then tweeted that out (name included) critizing the entire BYU fanbase for being classless. And BYU fans make a mountain out of a molehill?

Of course, as he’s known to do, he deleted the tweet and blocked anyone who criticized him for tweeting it.

It’s people like him that ruin the rivalry. Rather than making the story about how the response from BYU fans and the AD was overwhelmingly supportive, he tried to focus on the negative and vitriolic response of a single fan (sadly found in every fanbase).

That’s why he deserves this criticism. It isn’t an isolated incident, it’s a pattern of hate from him under the auspices of “journalism.”
