I haven't looked hard enough at the competition and Gobert's numbers to see where he stacks up.

I did see that they just call them all front court players which I think actually helps Gobert's numbers.

To me here are the locks as of today: Lebron (Lebron, enough said), Durant (top 5 player in league), Anthony Davis (best big man in the game), Jokic (best player on best WC team averaging 19-10-8) and George (5 time All-Star having his best season). That leaves only two spots (assuming they have seven frontcourt players) from the following: Gobert, Towns, Capela, Draymond, Aldridge, Gasol, T. Harris and Doncic (if he gets voted in then it leaves only one spot).

If I had to guess I would guess that Doncic starts through the vote and they add Towns or Aldridge. Again I haven't delved deep into the numbers, but the poor start (Jazz have played a lot of away games but would like to be over .500) to the year certainly has not helped Gobert's chances.

The 5 guards from the West will be equally as difficult.

The locks: Steph Curry (has been hurt, but will get voted in), James Harden, Russell Westbrook (he will make it even though he has struggled scoring).

That leaves the following: Klay Thompson (probably a lock), Damian Lillard (could he miss it averaging 26-6-5?) and Demar Derozan (averaging 22, 6, 6 on a winning team...but he can't shoot from 3).

Mike Conley Jr, Donovan Mitchell and CJ McCollum, Devin Booker (27, 7 and 4 but on a bad team) all average over 20 ppg, but I think it would be a long shot for any of them to make it. De'Aaron Fox has been fantastic for the Kings, but he is on the outside looking in.

If Derrick Rose get's voted in then things go to chaos.

My prediction: Curry, Harden, Westbrook, Thompson and Lillard.
