Growing up in Cottonwood Heights we got them out of Big Cottonwood Canyon. Now we get them from Weber Canyon and Farmington Canyon.

I do think certain areas of Davis County are vulnerable to high wind events every few years. I don't know why. Farmington and Centerville get pounded every few years. I've had experiences on windy days driving south on I-15 from Kaysville and as soon as I pass Lagoon it is like hitting a wall of wind. This has happened many times. Not sure why that particular area gets wind speeds like that.
