to prove my point. My most vivid memory is 3rd and 1 against TCU to get into FG range, and we line up in the wildcat with Asiata. Then we fake the run and Asiata lobs the ball up for the TE. Incomplete. Punt.
Now, like most of these plays, the TE was open, and if he had caught it, he may have gone for the TD. But he didn't because Asiata was throwing to him. Every Ute fan was saying "JUST GET THE FIRST DOWN!"
Maybe Utah has the talent now to pull off some of those risky plays. I guess we'll see.
For the record, I'm really pleased with this hire. Although I also really liked Troy Taylor.
