I mean I can find plenty of articles that show how Avatar was considered one of the greatest movies (highest grossing for sure) of all time and that it changed things. And then link other articles like this one showing that its the most overrated

Here is a link on astory about Black Panther being the best movie ever (according to Rotten Tomatoes)
https://www.joe.ie/movies-tv/black-panther-officially-best-film-ever-made-616987 when literally it follows the same mold of every other Marvel movie.
The Dark Knight to me is the best Superhero movie ever made. It flipped the idea of the hero always being loved and being the hero to being the villain (with Harvey Dent's infamous line about dying a hero or living long enough to become the villain), it also had arguably the best villain in a superhero movie of all time. One that did not use super powers from another planet or whatever, but one that caused incredible destruction by using mind tricks. The Joker by Heath Ledger was one of the best superhero villains simply because you never knew what made him tick. It wasnt to destroy half of the world so the other half can survive, it wasnt to take over a city, or the world, or more power or money, he burned his money. It was chaos and it was done very well.
You can call it convoluted and boring or whatever you want, its fine. I like most of your movie takes but there is no way you will ever convince me that The Dark knight was a bad movie or that it was the most overrated movie of all time.
