I re-read some of the above and I think what I wrote was misunderstood. To explain how absurd it would be to be "ticked off at Cox" I mentioned how the game changed immediately after Cox left the field. Cox was injured during the fake punt. By that, I mean that he was forced to exit the game and was pronounced questionable to return. That was a turning point of the game. He is that important. How that could be interpreted as an excuse for his awful play on the fake punt, I don't think I'll ever understand.
I guessed that at least the writer of the "Somewhere the Eagles should be ticked off at Cox and his laziness" is unfamiliar with the Eagles. Cox is the best player on the team. To illustrate that, I explained what happened as soon as Cox left the game after the injury and what happened as soon as Cox returned. He makes that entire defense go. If the Eagles were ticked off at anyone for the season ending early, it wouldn't be Fletcher Cox. Without him, the Saints probably would have run away with that game.

And if Cox had been injured in previous games, the Eagle's record would have been worse rather than better. I"m not sure where you're going with that.
