Ah, now I see how you completely misunderstood what I wrote.
This one is funny. If I re-write one of my sentences that I've used over and over again in a different way, I think you'll understand.
"He was injured on that play. As soon as he went out, the Saints got rolling."

"He BECAME injured on that play. As soon as he went out, the Saints got rolling because they no longer had to worry about Cox."

I think you thought I wrote that he was bad on the play because was injured before the play even started. That wasn't what I was trying to communicate. His injury had nothing to do with how that play turned out, but it seriously hurt the Eagles to have him off the field. If Cox had been injured on the play AFTER the blocked punt, the impact of his injury would have been the same minus one play and that's a serious blow.

And why did I explain any of that? It was to illustrate just how important he is to the success of his team. After he was injured, the Saints really got rolling. As soon as he returned, his impact was immediately felt. He killed the Saints on his first two snaps when he finally got on the field almost a quarter later.
