He answered truthfully: no hole and have capable players. Compare to '10-11
I interpret a "hole" as meaning we have limited or no options.

Our 2010-2011 depth was not great... with Unga out, JJ was our feature back at 5'9 189, backed up by Kariya and Q, and there was a pretty big drop-off between #2 & #3 and then 3-5. Where do you think each of these guys would be on the depth chart in 2018? I'd venture to say our top 3 backs in 2018 had more talent.

This isn't a knock on the three mentioned legacy players. JJ had a great JR year. Kariya got 60 yards to keep Oklahoma honest and knock them off their pedestal. They earned their PT and put in work and were solid contributors.

But the RB position 1-5 has experienced an influx of talent recently compared to the talent we had in 2010-2011.

2012: Williams and Lasike (btw, an awesome 1-2)
2013: Williams and Lasike. Alisa did well as a converted LB but got a medical RS. Algie.
2014: Williams and Lasike and Algie.
2015: Williams out for season. Squally for just the bowl game. Pretty bad depth beyond Algie.
2016: Williams, Squally, Hadley, KJ, Fonua, El-B, Algie
2017: Squally, Katoa, Ulu, KJ, El-B
2018: Canada, Katoa, Fonua, Finau, El-B, Burt
2019 (Projected): Lots of question marks, but talent is there: Katoa, Allgeier, Fonua, McCh, Hodge, Ula (maybe for Summer)
