That is what I found to be the going rate.
It does count room and board, I’m guessing the OP is allowing her to eat their food if she chooses, and he is providing housing.

How much should I expect to pay a babysitter to watch my kids for 1 week

$100 per day
Mr. Belding

That’s below minimum wage, even subtracting the hours they are at school.

Are you counting sleeping hours?
bluecougar1985

That’s a sweet gig. Most wives would make more than the national average

Right, I get that. But it’s silly to set watching kids pay higher than a regular

Yeah. I can see that

Full time at $26k/year is $12.50 an hour. Well above minimum wage

At 40 hours per week it is, not if you count sleeping hours. Then it’s less then

Yup. But like I said, if a 24 hour nanny accepts 26k, she’s getting ripped off

Full time nannys, even live in nannys, do not have an obligation to the kids

I agree, just not at the same rate.

If you ask them to name their price

Then you’re paying too much.

How many kids do you have?
kccougar
1/18/19 2:48pm
Zero. Does having kids give you a right to be cheap or something?
TCuz

That’s not being cheap. You obviously are ignorant on this topic. I appreciate you trying not to be cheap. But you’re

I think $500 is fair, the going rate is probably higher. $10 per hour for awake
bluecougar1985

I would pay more than I thought was necessary just to
