70K-115K depending on how you live. Upper middle class
is probably 120k-300k+ depending on how you live and what your debt obligations are. I guess it depends on what amount you think either of those categories should be adding to their net worth each year. Income is all relative and it seems like each individual sees middle class differently as well. Also keep in mind Utah is a very large place with very different costs in homes etc depending one where you live.

I consider middle class a house in a safe neighborhood, 2 cars, a yard, savings in the bank, adding 5K-20K to your net worth, enough extra income to sustain some luxuries of un expensive travel, kids sports and acitivities, going out to eat now and then and other activities.

Lower middle is most of the above but while not putting anything away and ignoring savings for some of the activities.

Upper middle involves a large house in a safe neighborhood, at least 2 nice cars, big manicured yard, solid savings in the bank, significant assets, 25-50k yearly added to net worth, significant luxuries, toys and fairly lavish vacations.

Over $300K to me starts bordering on being loaded. Any needs and wants that feel like needs are taken care of. Your net worth should be growing by a lot every year.

Its all difficult to account for how people manage their income though.
