You say "There are just too many things for Rose to fix."

That is his job and why he gets paid more than 10 or 20 TIMES more than the average BYU professor. If he can't manage the complexity of coaching the kind of athletes that are able and willing to come to BYU then why is he still here? There really is no excuse as to why his teams can't and/or won't play defense or have an effective offense. The BYU Basketball program is going to have an unusually high percentage of players who have served LDS missions and are married as compared to any other NCAA program. That has always been always been true and yet every other BYU coach has been able to have success without having to make excuses about having old, married players.

This will make 4 years of no NCAA Tournament (and would be 5 except in 2015 we made the play-in round). The only time that BYU has had a longer NCAA drought was 1995 to 2001 during and after the Roger Reid disaster and there is little hope of BYU making the tournament next year so Rose is really right there with Roger Reid. Reid got and deserved tremendous criticism for his handling of the program in his last years yet Rose gets pass after pass after excuse after excuse despite Roger Reid type performance.

The evidence of extremely poor performance by Rose over the past 5 years is overwhelming. Fan support and attendance is declining as is recruiting. How is this not completely Rose's fault?
