He wanted them to use their football talents at a university he felt would draw them close to the Lord. At the time, I thought Bronco was more interested in Isaiah than Kai, but took them both and Kai ended up being a superstar while Isaiah just couldn't quite get it together. I think grades were a big issue for Sampson and don't know Puka's story. I wish they all came to BYU. That would have been a wonderful legacy for BYU and the Nacua family. But, things don't always work out the way we'd like. Knowing the family personally as I do, I still cheer for Sampson as a Ute and will want all the best for Puka. I am saddened that we never got to see Isaiah play beyond high school. He was great at Gorman as a 4-star recruit.
