Now that it takes a TD to win outright, the coin toss winner only wins around 55% of the time.
I'd say that the change was a definite improvement. But anytime that winning a coin toss makes you more likely to win the game, that doesn't seem right.
It is a "Team" game - so maybe requiring both teams to put their offense and defense BOTH on the field during overtime highlights the team element of the game.
