I think had the average player understood that the cap spike would mainly benefit a handful of players like Evan Fornier and Timofey Mozgov, in addition to making the Warriors unbeatable forever, they would have voted in favor of cap smoothing. If I was a player, I'd be pretty ticked at my representation and the union for siding with such a dumb decision. Never underestimate the greed of agents. The agents of Mozgov, Fournier, etc. probably laughed their way to the bank.
