The refs make obvious mistakes all the time
I think people are being overly dramatic and overacting when they say it's the most egregious blown call ever. If you look at it from different angles it looks a lot closer than it really was. I would argue that there have been equally bad calls or no calls in the past and in big games.

If it were as bad as a lot of people say then I have a hard time believing the refs would open themselves up as well as the league to such criticism. And if they really wanted the Rams to win they could have made it a little more subtle, calling things like holds during the course of the game (and in this game it would have been pretty legitimate to call holds on Aaron Donald) In the NBA you see things like teams getting 50 free throws and the other team getting six when both teams are equally physical. Is there a conspiracy there? probably not but it could a less obvious be a way to ensure a team wins.
