I've seen several mocks having Kyler picked #13. Last year, #13 got $14m that was fully guaranteed over 4 years.
Baseball he was looking at his current $5 M deal guaranteed, plus whatever the A's were willing to give him to put him on the ML roster now. And yes, while MLB deals are all guaranteed, most players don't sign long term guaranteed deals till FA. For Kyler, that would be after 1-4 years of minor league ball, and then 6-7 years of team control, where he essentially would get 1 year deals every year until free agency. Plus, he's kind of a risky prospect so there's no guarantee he ever even reaches the majors.
Going to the NFL, if he's a 1st round pick he gets his $14M or so. There are a high range of variable outcomes after that, sure.
