Don't wear sandals while doing work around the house. My wife and I took the Christmas lights off the house today. As I was collapsing the ladder, it slipped down on my middle toe. Right where the nail meets the bone.

The nail basically snapped off but is being held in place by the skin. I'll for sure lose the nail. I hope that's the extent of the damage. I assume the nail will grow back.

Anyway, make sure you wear shoes while doing yard work. I was just lazy and complacent.
