I really believe that Gavin Baxter has a much better shot at making it in the NBA than Yoeli Childs. Baxter has a body type that BYU rarely gets. It was no coincidence that LMU went ice cold the last 8 minutes of the game when Baxter was out there at the top of the key harassing LMU's guards and wings. That lightning spin move he made to the hoop for a dunk was incredibly "unBYUish". I've watched BYU basketball for 40 years and never seen anybody with the ability to make that kind of move and play above the rim in the way Gavin can. He can also handle the ball better than I thought. He has a couple of years to develop further his foul shooting and three point ball also. He just has god given ability that Yoeli does not have. Yoeli is too slow and not nearly as fluid. Not sure that Yoeli would even get drafted after this season.
