This team has learned how to win games.
When was the last time that BYU basketball fell behind by double digits in consecutive games on the road, but still managed to come back and win both of those games? Just this year vs both sMc and USF BYU fell behind by double digits in the second half and just seemed to fall apart. They would make even more mistakes, start jacking up threes and just looking terrible. But its more than just those two games. In the pre-season BYU lost close games on the road to Ill State, and UNLV. in th Ill State all they had to do was hit some free throws down the stretch and they win the game in regulation. UNLV beat them on a last second shot but it felt like BYU had the better team but just could not put them away.

I think this team has had a steep learning curve. First they needed to learn how to just win on the road. That did not happen until the Pacific game to open the season. Then they needed to believe that they could stay with a good team. They did that and beat sMc at home after losing to them on the road. Now they've figured out how to withstand the emotional push by an opponent on the road and hang tough. They seem to be much more resilient now than at eariler points in the season. I don't see the whining about missed calls or bad calls by the riefs and they seem more mentally equipped to push past them.

They just look like a confident bunch right now. They don't panic. They, for the most part, take care of the ball. Their shot selection has improved greatly compared to the early part of the season, and their defense has gotten pretty good. They've given up an average of 60 points per game over their past 5 games. That is some pretty good defense.

I know that the Rose haters must be upset, but this team has become fun to watch. I love their fight. They've gotten better as the season as gone one and as a BYU fan, they've made me proud.
