In his one year
back Mika wasout of of place. Had an inside but no midrange or outside game. Could he have developed one? That is the question. The other question is how are Bryant and Mika doing now. Are they happy? Mika would never have madeit in NBA and Childs likely won’t either although he has improved his mid and outside range. All this wishing and wanting is very etherial and fails to see the possible down sides. You have Mika - you don’t have Baxter development, or maybe you do. You have Bryant, you definitely don’t have Haws developement and nobody knows how it would have effected Emery. Personally I don’t think it wouldn’t have changed his narrative at all. I don’t think Bryant was that good of a facilitator but his size opened up his drive game and his 3pt game. Mika’s loss was probably the most significant, but he wasn’t that significant a PF without a midrange or long range game his first year back. It’s not a given how the crowded row boat would have worked out, and it is a given that Haws is the greatest benefactor of all this.
