We LOVED Oahu. We did not do Pearl Harbor or the PCC. That stuff is lame. Like so incredibly boring. To me Hawaii is all about the beaches, snorkeling, hikes and food. We did some awesome hikes - Maunawilli Falls being my favorite. Kayaked to the Mokes. Jumping off the rock in Waimea Bay. Snorkeling at Electric Beach. Body boarding on the north shore. Traffic wasn't that bad at all. Oahu looks and feels Hawaiian.

Big Island Kona side feels like you are in Idaho on that stretch from Twin Falls to Sun Valley. Dry and rocky. Not pretty. Beaches were nowhere near as good as Maui and Oahu. Our favorite thing was definitely snorkeling at Capt Cook's monument. Hilo side had the more Hawaii feel to it and we did some cool hikes/walks to waterfalls. Way more driving than what we did on the other two islands. Honestly don't think we would ever go back to the Big Island.
