I rarely say a movie is a must see. My general opinion is that there has never
been a movie made that people have to watch. At the end of the day, they are entertainment.
But Shawshank comes close. Though the edited for TV version loses some of the impact, as certain scenes simply can't be shown on TV (but without them you can't fully grasp what Andy goes through), the TV version is still worth it if for nothing more than Andy's final letter to Red.
