this not an absolute and complete reflection on the head coach? If coaching doesn't matter and it's all up to the players then let's hire a group of kids who want to run the BB program, pay them each $50K per year (or even the equivalent of a new BYU Professor) and spend Rose's salary somewhere else.
If this was an isolated result that didn't reflect the state of the program (like an undefeated Gonzaga loosing its last game at home to a mediocre BYU team) and if this program had 15+ NCAA tournament wins in the past 5 years then I would agree. But it is not.
This will be the 5th year in a row that BYU will not make the field of 64 which puts us in Roger Reid territory and its all on Rose.
