To really enjoy them, you need to have seen all the movies with all the intricate backstories. It's become overwhelming. People will tell me I don't really need to see previous movies, and then I go watch and have no idea who anybody is or what's happening. For those who see every movie and keep track of all the characters and story lines, I'm sure it's great. For the casual viewer, it's stupid.
