after being shoved into a bookcase at school recently; about a 3 inch scalp laceration with severed artery requiring 3 stitches & 8 staples. The boy who shoved him thought that my son and his friend were fighting when they were just "playing around". My son was pushed first by the first kid and he pushed him back, then the kid's friend blindside attacks my son.

We have yet to receive a written report from the principal or any kind of apology from the other boy's parents (or offer to pay any of the medical expenses). Been about 2 weeks since the occurrence. Would you press the issue or chalk it up as no big deal, boys are going to get hurt when they horse around?
