My wife and I were looking at lots on the north shore of Kauai...
and they ain't cheap. We found about a 5 acre lot in Princeville near the lighthouse, it was overlooking the bay on the cliffs, for a "reasonable" $10,000,000.00
In all honesty though you can find some stuff up there that is kind of, sort of, "reasonable". We've rented a house down on Anini Beach a few times over the last couple of years and the owner told us he'd sell it to us for about $1.8 mil. It is a 3 bedroom 2 bath home, pretty nice, the lot is an acre. Right on the beach so pretty sweet. But 2 mil would put a bite in the retirement for sure.

I'd prolly get a normal ish sized house in a nice neighborhood then buy a warehouse to fit all my cars.
