doesn't have anything to do with athletes at the schools, though. Basically people paid off a few coaches (not sure if USD was one of these schools) to get prospective students admitted to the school as athletes, but they weren't actually athletes. A way to bypass strict academic requirements, I guess. But it's not like it would make any players ineligible, there was no competitive advantage for athletics. I might be wrong but I think some of the schools named aren't even accused of doing anything knowingly wrong (not sure which ones are and which aren't).
