Hecklers are a big part of the Jazz home court advantage. A lot of the first
few rows of seats are filled with season ticket holders who just give it to the opponents. I have a friend who falls in this camp. BYU fan. Great heckler. He's good at it and it is pretty funny. Sometimes it is a little personal. He definitely goes places and says things I would never say. But I just really never had a problem with it. There are tons of security guys around who shut down fans who are getting personal, and if a player decides a line has been crossed, the player can complain and the fan will be kicked out of the game. It happens quite a bit. Usually, if the opponents aren't whiny babies, they just laugh or stare down the fan after a made basket, etc.

This is a story because Westbrook was whiny and said terrible things, and then alleged racism. I hate that. He knew what cards to pull and how to "get back" at the fans that he hates so much (including some little kid in Denver). The guy took a risk in saying what he did. But he really shouldn't be banned and have his name destroyed over what he did. I'd hate that to happen to my friend who is a great guy. This isn't a Ute only thing going on. Not by a long shot. Plenty of BYU fans doing the exact same thing.
