I think between all the BYU wins + SMC's win last night......
the major commonality is size. It's amazing what happens when you actually have size and don't let Gonzaga play bully ball with two 6'8" guys in the post. It helps when the Zags shoot poorly too, but it starts down low on D. St. Mary's says....oh yeah....we got two 6'10" guys that. Now what? Your not going to out rebound us and Rui is not going to push us around like he does everyone else. And Clarke's not going to soar over our backs and grab boards so easily. That was the difference to me. Bennet gets it. That 6'10" kid from Estonia doubles his minutes to 30 or so every time they play the Zags because he knows that's the only way to beat them. He's not good either. He averages like 3 points.....but we all saw how Corbin helped us against Gonzaga in the past too and he wasn't a world beater as a basketball player either. That's the secret formula.
