Star PG, star C, knockdown 3pt specialist. They returned some promising youth but only one guy scoring double figures. They needed a ton of replacement in production even if the prospects were promising. BYU returned everything meaningful except Bryant. Huge difference. BYU guys through the roster just haven't developed very much. Most didn't improve much if at all. SMC had guys show up and take a big step the way Gonzaga guys do.
Our 3pt shooters can't get close to 40%. Our 2nd leading rebounder had to be the skinny PG. Ball movement and shooting is poor as evidenced by only one guy other than the PG averaging 2 assists, and he happens to be the starting PF, and having fewer than 4 guys usually doesn't happen at BYU.
In a year where guys are supposed to take developmental steps, they're not moving forward or are regressing.
