I don't understand what you're getting at. The better team advanced in each

matchup out of the 16 other than RM losing to Ajax (and this Ajax team has a lot of young talent who will be household names in the next 3-5 years). Man United over PSG was a surprise but they are also loaded with talent who has simply underachieved the last few years. And Chelsea is 6th in the EPL.

Barca - Elite
Man City - Elite
Liverpool - Elite
Juventus - Elite
Man U - Elite talent that might finally come together
Tottenham - Good not great
Ajax - stacked w/ young talent
Porto - surprise team
