I'll be surprised if either lands in the 8 or 9 spot as of today. If they win their tourneys it would probably be justified. A loss before the final for either team puts them squarely on the bubble though. However, the bubble is horrible this year as it seems like no teams want to go dancing so both teams are probably in regardless.
