I have this hard nose boss who gets really sniffly angry whenever someone tries to take any kind of time off for doctor appointments. Kind of like, ‘do I need to fire you before you get terminal on me’. It’s most likely illegal but everyone knows that if you are going to schedule a doctor appointment, you’re better off taking the whole day off as PTO, but I’m OUT of PTO, anyways.

I had to schedule a brief doctor appointment to pick up some test results (turns out the fish he brings to lunch everyday is causing my rash) and right as I’m about ready to leave for lunch, I get cornered by him and two of his yes-men who get up all in my business, talking super close and asking where I’m going. When I say lunch, they say they’re understaffed because he let two people go home early that day so they could coach their water polo game. seriously? They do this every Friday so it's just poor planning. I said I couldn’t stay and cover for the water polo people during my lunch break and he got even more super huffy. I didn’t want to say anything like, why aren’t the three of you working but whatever. They slowly move out of my way and I see behind that one of them has Fornite up on his computer AT WORK. for the love.

Unfortunately for me, my test results weren't ready when I got there and I had to wait more than an hour cause they couldn’t find it. I get back to the office and sitting on my desk is a giant microwaved halibut with a note that says “you’re[sic] lunchtime activities look fishy”. And guess who’s snickering in the office next door? Great. I think I’ve been caught, but even worse is that I’m seriously breaking out in hives and rash right now and I can’t take any medical leave. What should I do?
