A huge part of being a college coach is selling your vision for the program. Whether its to recruits, boosters, or administrators that is a significant part of the job. In the interview process the AD with fresh eyes gets to see how good that individual is at doing it. Should this be a determining factor in them getting the job? No. But if a guy can't sell you his vision for the program that should raise some red flags.
