Even if what you say is 100% true (I'm not saying that it is)
it would be the coach's fault, not Jimmer's. A coach has the responsibility of teaching, guiding, and controlling the players. The coach didn't let Jimmer "get away" with shooting anywhere and not playing defense...that was the coach's game plan. If a culture was created, it was not created by Jimmer, but by coaching.

If after Jimmer left other players were unsuccessfully used in the same way, then it was the coach's unsuccessful game plan, his unsuccessful use of players, or his failure to put a team on the floor who can succeed in that game plan.

If a coach doesn't have a "Jimmer" player then he should not run a "Jimmer" game plan or allow one.

That said, IMHO what is happening at BYU and its lack of a good offensive game plan and defensive heart is not Jimmer's fault...it is coaching.
