Appearance of your throat is just 1/4 criteria and they don’t look at severity
Are your tonsils swollen/showing exudate?
Are you without a cough?
Are your antererior cervical lymph nodes swollen?
Do you have a fever of 100.4 or higher?

Also, are you under 44 years old?

You need all 5 of those factors for a Centor score of 4, which then recommends antibiotics without any testing. It doesn’t matter if it looks severe or not.

Also, I’d recommend in the future that you go to an Urgent Care before they close or first thing in the morning. Rarely is a sore throat an emergency, it takes up resources from other emergencies, and the bill will be much higher than it needs to be for that kind of condition.
