If Coach Rose retires, hiring Pope will be seen as the easy lazy hire by Holmoe. But it wouldnt necessarily be the wrong
hire. He is young, has experience, knows BYU. He's continued to raise the reputation of UVUs bball program . I assume he would be a successful recruiter. Honestly it wouldn't be a bad hire. It's just the easy hire.
