Lower class: live in a low income area of an inner city, take public transit
Considered moving a couple years ago, decided the commute and housing prices made that a nonstarter. Fixing up the place and paying it off before I'm 40 instead.
Upper class: being a single income family (though my wife is going to school to time re-entry into the workforce when the youngest is a certain age).

A guy I work with wears clothes from Walmart, rarely irons them, and drives a 12 year old beater. He’s worth 8 digits.
