Absolutely this. There are many potential solutions to depression, so there is
definitely one that will work for you. You might have to try a few different things, but do it. If you can't make yourself get help, then get someone to help you get help. There is no need to suffer through this alone any longer.

Things that can help:
See your primary care Dr.
see a therapist
Anti-depressants
Better sleep habits
Better diet
Exercise
Ditching the smart phone
Making an effort to connect with people (in real life, not online or via social media)
Make your bed each day (yes, I'm serious--it really does help with mood)
Get more sunlight and/or take vitamin D
Meditation

There are more, but that is a good start. Something on that list is going to help you feel better and will help you start climbing out of that black pit. You just have to find out which one(s) will help you personally. And, like I said, if you can't make yourself try any of those things, get someone to help you.
