Rose wants to retire but wants to leave the program in capable hands. It's not a coincidence he attended a Jazz game when Jimmer was there.

Prior to the game, Rose took Jimmer aside and asked him if he would accept the head coaching job at BYU. Jimmer was so excited and giddy about the prospect he had trouble focusing on the game and nailing his 3's.

After the game, Jimmer decides he'd rather coach at the university he loves than pursue his NBA dreams. Taking the job also means Jimmer will get to go to the Creamery whenever he wants.
