bad move for BYU basketball. If he feels like it was his time to step away and we didn't have any say in the matter than it doesn't matter what we think. But I think he earned the right to stay if he wanted. My hope is that he felt like it was his time to retire for his own reasons and that there was no pressure or threats or ultimatums from the higherups. He was a good to great coach.

But this will go down like Mendenhall leaving. We will start to appreciate Dave Rose when the losses start to pile up more and more and the less competitive we feel against top teams we will remember the Dave Rose era when we had a punchers chance against the top team in the country.
