I wager it is higher in the south where obesity is much more common.
We generally do a bad job at taking care of ourselves, so this would be higher as a result.

Also in other countries abortion is much more accepted than the places where we are the least healthy (the South being more religious, etc), so in those countries at risk women are more likely to have an abortion where here the overweight, aging diabetic is more likely to continue.

There's a lot of factors, but this will get run with on the internet of how bad our medical system is and how socialized medicine will fix it.
